Thanks to Flipkart, a happy birthday got a little happier
I had ordered a kurta on the occasion of my daughter’s birthday as I wanted to surprise her. I got the message that it would be delivered on D-day. On her birthday we were all happy and celebrations were going on. It was raining heavily. My daughter got gifts from all the other family members. I was the only one left. It was 7 in the evening but there was still no sign of Flipkart delivery. I was resigned to the fact that it would not be delivered that day. My daughter thought that I had forgot to bring her a gift. Soon, it was 8 pm and there was still no sign of Flipkart. And then, at 8:15 pm, the doorbell rang and I rushed to open the door. I found the delivery boy all wet and apologizing for the delay. Finally, my order was delivered. My daughter was super-happy as she got the kurta that she had been longing to have for quite some time. I was happy because I was able to surprise her and make her day special. I also got a good deal on Flipkart. Warm moments stored in our hearts forever — that is what Flipkart is all about.

Spinning into my son’s heart
There was this audio launch event being broadcast live on a TV channel, and one of the leading actors was holding on to a yellow hand-spinner, and spinning it at will. My five-year-old son noticed that and asked me to get it when I returned from office. I did not even know what to look for on Flipkart then. He said that the ‘Hero’ was spinning it with a single hand and he wants that immediately. I got onto Flipkart to check what it was and, to my surprise, I found the fidget spinners very easily with Flipkart Search. I browsed through a few spinners and found them very interesting and of low cost. I immediately ordered two fidget spinners (one yellow and one red) and made the payment. I was informed that they would not be delivered before the next Monday. To my surprise, though, I came home from work on Friday and found that my kid was playing with the fidget spinners (I had ignored the SMS from Flipkart saying it would be delivered earlier). He was on top of the world! My son and I race with the fidget spinners every day and I can’t express the joy he finds as he learns to use the fidget spinner with a single hand even before I could try. Thanks, Flipkart!

A pat on the back from my mom!
I was about to order a kurta for my mom. We went to the mall together to look for one. She liked one of the Aurelia kurtas. As soon as she was about to purchase it, I told her, “Wait, Mom. Let me check on Flipkart!” And, just as I thought, it was available at a good discount. When the same kurta was delivered at a much lower price, it made Mom smile. “So that’s how you learned to save money,” she said. “Keep it up!”

A boy, a bike and three happy souls
Post the 2015 Chennai floods, a local was selling his KTM RC 390 at an attractive price. I was pestering my parents for permission to go ahead and buy it. Just then, Flipkart introduced the sale of bikes. My mom had received an email to this effect and she asked me to go ahead and book a new bike. As an introductory offer, Flipkart offered doorstep test-drive and e-voucher worth ₹10,000. Double Dhamaka! My handsome KTM RC 390 was delivered in the New Year with a special registration number. This was my most delightful moment from a satin-smooth shopping experience. I got a brand new bike, extra shopping worth ₹10,000, a special number and — most importantly — the shop came home. I gifted my parents the gift voucher. So, there were three happy souls!

A stroke of luck that was worth a billion!
In 2014, I had ordered a Chetan Bhagat book. Luckily, it was delivered to me on October 5, 2014 — just the day before the first Big Billion Day. I didn’t know until that moment that a big sale was about to happen. I must give a billion thanks to the Flipkart delivery person because he informed me about it at the time of delivery. “Madam, please check our site tomorrow because a huge sale is going to happen,” he said. It was only because of him that I was able to buy my first ever smartphone on Big Billion Day from Flipkart. My heartiest thanks to the whole Flipkart team!
